Privacy Policy

Ruuted is built on a simple position: the app exists to reflect you back to yourself, not to extract from you. This policy says plainly what we collect, what happens to it, and what never happens to it.

Ruuted ("we", "us") operates the Ruuted app and ruuted.io. For anything in this policy, contact us at nemo@ruuted.io.

1. What we collect

Account: your email address, the display name you choose, and either a password (stored in hashed form; we cannot read it) or your Apple or Google sign-in identity

Subscription status: whether your subscription is active, and which plan, so the app knows what to unlock. Payments themselves are handled by Apple, Google or Shopify; we never see your card details

What you write in the app: your journal entries, your weather check-ins, the answers you gave to the opening questionnaire, and the lines you set down on the water (your morning gratitudes and evening reflections)

Practice history: which practices you completed and when (integration visits included), so the app can hold your place

Technical basics: device type, app version and crash reports, so we can keep the app working

What you write is the heart of the app, and it is treated accordingly, as set out below.

2. What the app does with your writing

The app's reflections (the recognition sentences, your themes, the weather readings and the integration question) are generated by Ruuted's own recognition system. The framework it reads through, the language it is allowed to use, and the limits it must respect are designed and written by us. Within that system, we use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, as the processing engine: to generate your reflections, the text you write in the app is processed by Anthropic acting strictly as our processor, on our instructions.

Your writing is never used to train AI models, by us or by Anthropic.

The processing exists for one purpose: to generate your own reflections, shown only to you.

No person at Ruuted reads your journal or your reflections. They are stored so the system can serve them back to you, and processed only by the automated system described above. Access to the database is restricted to what operating the service requires, and we do not use it to look at what you write.

No screening, review or moderation is applied to anything you write in the app.

3. The water is private

What you set down on the water (gratitudes and reflections) is read by no one. It is not shown to other users, not screened, not reviewed. It is stored so that you can read it back, and it is deleted with your account like everything else.

4. Speaking instead of typing

If you use the microphone to speak your writing, speech recognition happens on your device, using your phone's own system recognition. Your voice is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party by us.

5. What never leaves your phone

Some of the app lives only on your device and is never transmitted to us: the carry lines you choose each morning, the pillars you light and the ways you take (movement, connection, rest, nourishment), and what the integration room holds for you (its questions, your record of descents). We could not see these if we wanted to.

The daily reflection notifications are written and scheduled on your phone as well. No push servers are involved, and nothing about them reaches us.

6. What we never do

We never sell your data.

We never share your data for anyone else's purposes.

We never use your writing to train AI models.

We never analyse your patterns to push you towards purchases.

We never show anything you write to another user.

7. Processors we rely on

We use a small set of service providers to run the app, each processing data only on our instructions and for the purposes above:

Supabase: database and authentication hosting

Anthropic: AI processing of your in-app writing, solely to generate your reflections

RevenueCat: subscription status management for App Store and Google Play purchases

Apple / Google: app distribution and in-app payment processing

Sentry: crash reporting, so we can fix what breaks; reports are scrubbed of your writing and your email before they send, and are stored in the EU

Expo: delivery of in-app content updates, so wording and content can improve without a full release; it receives technical device information only, never anything you write

Shopify and Klaviyo: if you purchased through ruuted.io or joined our mailing list, the store and email side of Ruuted runs there, under the store's own privacy terms

8. Keeping and deleting

Everything you create in the app is kept while your account exists, so you can return to it. We do not run background deletion of your content; it is yours until you remove it or delete your account.

You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile & settings, then delete account). Deletion is immediate and complete: your journal entries, check-ins, water lines, practice history, generated reflections and account details are permanently erased. We retain only a minimal, non-identifying record that a deletion occurred. This cannot be undone, and we cannot recover your data afterwards.

9. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, email nemo@ruuted.io and we will act on it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, transfers are protected by standard contractual safeguards.

Ruuted is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16.
